Father and Sons Basketball Camp

This weekend Chad and Trent were able to go up to BYU Provo for the annual Father Son basketball camp. This was their first year going. They were able to get tickets from one of Chads good friends from back in the day - Steve! The camp was 4 days of basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, weight lifting, frisbee golf and soccer - seriously for a father and son obsessed with sports does it get any better than that! It was run by the BYU Bball team which of course Trent thought was great, they led the drills and games and hung out with them at the different activities.

Chad had major flashbacks all weekend long and kept texting me about this and that. They stayed in the dorms where we lived our freshman year and it was also the place that we met! The food in the cannon center was apparently worse than he remembered, however Trent didn't think it was that bad, and it gave everyone diarrhea - lovely, I knew you wanted to hear that tidbit. On the Sunday 7 buses took them all to temple square where they went to Music and the spoken word, they had a special sacrament meeting in the assembly hall, and then had lunch at This is the place monument.

They came home Monday night exhausted from late nights and long days of playing hard -Trent is already excited for next year!

Trent and Chads friends son Brock - new best friends, out front of the dorms. So they are in front of Stover hall because that is where Chad remembered me living, well I did not live in Stover, I lived in Merrill, we only dated pretty much that whole year, good job honey! Maybe he is thinking of some other Australian girl he dated!

This is the exact place that I opened Chad's mission call - yeah can you believe it, I opened it and then screamed for awhile before I told him where he was going. I screamed and he thought he was going to Australia, but it was really because he had always wanted to go to Germany and thats where he got called.

Trent showing his sweet skills

The group that Chad and Trent tagged along with, they all live in Idaho. AAh we love BYU, look at that view!

Rach are you sure you weren't one of those Stover come on over girls.

Looks like they had a great time and we can't wait to move over. Did Trent get to meet some of the BYU players. I bet he would have had a blast.

See you in 52 days.

Dave

What a great week-end! I love that Chad remembered all of the sentimental spots (even if he was a little off)!
